Calgary, AB — Thomas the Tank Engine rolls into Heritage Park Historical Village on May 2–3 and May 9–10, 2026 as part of the Day Out With Thomas™: The Let’s Rock, Let’s Roll Tour. Families climb aboard for a 20-minute train ride with a life-sized, talking Thomas locomotive and enjoy a full day of music-inspired activities, live entertainment and family fun.
Guests can take part in outdoor lawn games, enjoy live entertainment and capture photo opportunities with Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway.
Since 2007, Heritage Park has hosted Day Out With Thomas, welcoming thousands of families each year for this popular railway event.
Visitors receive an activity sheet guiding them to four key station stops to collect a free giveaway. Families can enjoy music-inspired activities in the Music Corner, visit the Play Pod to play with Thomas & Friends toys and pick out a temporary tattoo, and take part in outdoor games and activities throughout the Park.
Guests can also enjoy food and drinks available for purchase on-site and browse the pop-up gift shop featuring exclusive Thomas & Friends merchandise available only during Day Out With Thomas.
What? Day Out With Thomas™: Let’s Rock, Let’s Roll highlights include:
- Friends and families take a 20-minute train ride featuring a talking Thomas the Tank Engine locomotive.
- Activities and entertainment featuring:
- Music activities in the Music Corner

- Train departure times (daily): 9 a.m., 9:40 a.m., 10:20 a.m., 11 a.m., 11:40 a.m., 12:20 p.m., 1 p.m., 1:40 p.m., 2:20 p.m., 3 p.m., 3:40 p.m., 4:20 p.m.
Tickets: It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance to guarantee a train ride.
Walk-up tickets may be available but are first-come, first-served.
Admission to Heritage Park is included in the ticket price for riding.
Pricing: Not applicable to Heritage Park Annual Memberships or Heritage Club pass holders.
