Celebrate Our 60th Anniversary With This New Special Event!

Heritage Park Members Get Free Admission to the Children’s Festival

Tons of Fun Indoor and Outdoor Activities!

Join us for a weekend of endless fun with tons of fun indoor and outdoor activities, including a book reading special guest children’s author Lisa Bowes, puppet making, rope making, live entertainment and more at our NEW daytime special event, the Children’s Festival.. Enjoy a play from Wagonstage Productions, community crafts, and treats from the Candy Pop-Up. Visit Gasoline Alley Museum for face painting and don’t miss the Sheep Dog Herding Demonstrations at the Ranch & Farm Life area! Plus, enjoy rides on the S.S. Moyie paddlewheeler and horse-drawn wagons. Explore, learn, and play at Heritage Park!

Lisa Bowes – ‘Lucy Tries’ Book Series Reading

Join legendary Canadian sports anchor and best-selling author Lisa Bowes as she reads the ‘Lucy Tries’ sports series! After the book reading, grab a photo with Lisa and take home a copy of the series!

Sheep Dog Herding Demonstrations

Come watch an amazing demonstration of working dogs herding sheep in the rodeo arena.

Location: Ranch & Farm Life

In the event of rain: If there is substantial rainfall or lightning, the Sheep Dog Herding Demonstrations will be cancelled.

“The Little Forest” Play by Wagonstage Productions

Check out a fun play by Wagonstage Productions! In “The Little Forest” by Clem Martini, four siblings in a treeless neighborhood embark on a mission to bring nature back to life. Join them on their journey of planting dreams, overcoming obstacles, and working together to transform the world.

Location: Celebration Field. In the event of rain, “The Little Forest” Play by Wagonstage Productions will be moved inside Celebration Tent.

Time: 11 am and 2 pm

Children’s Festival Challenge Activity

Pick up your Children’s Festival Challenge Passport and complete 4 challenge activities for a chance to win exciting Heritage Park prize packs

Come learn about and play some traditional Indigenous games!

Location: First Nations Encampment. In the event of rain, the Indigenous games will be moved indoors in the First Nations Encampment area.

Lawn Games

Try out some old-fashioned games and see if you have the 1910 flare for recreation.

Location: Prince House Lawn

Rope Making

Learn how people use to make ropes back in the day, and have fun doing it!

Location: Ranch & Farm Life. In the event of rain, Rope Making will be moved inside Burns’ Barn

Children’s Fest Market

We’re seeking vendors under the age of 18 for the Children’s Fest Market at the NEW Heritage Park Children’s Festival on June 15 and 16, 2024. We’re looking for a wide range of products, from candles to candy. Regardless of the product, our market is a perfect opportunity to get in front of 1,500 – 3,000 motivated guests who love shopping local! Our available spots fill up fast, so apply today!

Shop ‘Til You Drop

After your done at the Children’s Fest Market, check out the stores in Heritage Plaza and the Historical Village. The Haskayne Mercantile Block is home to unique and local finds, as well as Mackay’s Ice Cream in Harvey’s Confectionery. In the Village, load up on candy at the Claresholm General Store, ice cream at the Vulcan Ice Cream Parlour, and other cool vintage products across the Park.
