The First Special Service Force

• Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Location: Celebration Field

Visit the camp of the First Special Service Force, an elite joint American–Canadian commando unit from WW2. At their camp you can talk with troops and check out the vehicles they would have used. And, they also have a German camp nearby.

The Canadian Expeditionary Force Camp

• Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Location: Green space across from the Wainwright Hotel

The Canadian Expeditionary Force Camp houses some of the army raised by Canada for service overseas in the First World War. Forces in the camp include the 10th Canadians, the 13th Blackwatch and the 27th Winnipegers.

The South Alberta Horse Artillery 1885

• Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Location: Near Prince House

Visit the South Alberta Horse Artillery camp to chat with the troops and view their items.

The Yankee Valley Yankees 1865

• Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Location: Near Prince House

Step into the American Civil War at this camp, complete with a cannon display – and be sure to pay a visit to their field surgeon while you’re at it.

78th Fraser Highlanders Youth Squad

• Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Location: Celebration Field

Learn about the Fraser Highlanders, a British infantry regiment raised to fight in the Seven Years’ War.

The 18th Century Reenactors

• Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Location: Hudson’s Bay Company Fur Trading Fort

Visit the 18th Century Reenactors, manning the Hudson’s Bay Company Fur Trading Fort.

The Edmonton House Brigade

Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Location: Hudson’s Bay Company Fur Trading Fort

Meet fur traders in the Hudson’s Bay Company Fur Trading Fort. The Edmonton House Brigade focus on sharing and demonstrating the stories, lifestyles, and methods of doing things during the Western Canadian Fur Trade.

Angus and Dolina

The Dominion Reenactors

Visit these reenactors dedicated on interpreting the 1885 Canada Militia.

Meet the troops and horses at the paddock behind the Canmore Opera House!

The Ulfraendi Vikings and The Vikings Vinland

Location: Nearby Shepard Station

Visit a Viking encampment to experience demonstrations and displays – you can even get in a sword fight with one!

The Dragon’s Own, Averni Legion, Lethbridge Medieval Society and HACSA

Location: Midnapore Station

Visit a large medieval encampment to see real knights and chat with them about their experience in medieval times – and, be sure to watch their demonstrations such as dueling.

Prairie Mountain Fiddlers

Marketplace
