Ghouls’ Night Out

Event Description

Experience Calgary’s Favourite Halloween Tradition!

From October 23–26, Ghouls’ Night Out fills Heritage Park with dazzling lights, classic Halloween characters, frightfully fun games, hands-on crafts, live entertainment and plenty of seasonal magic. It’s the beloved family-friendly night out you look forward to every year — where fun is lurking around every corner.

For those seeking a bigger fright, this year brings Unsettled, an intense scare experience created with Haunted Calgary. Guests can upgrade their Ghouls’ Night Out ticket now to unlock this chilling Red Zone, or brave Unsettled on its own during special standalone nights. Add-on tickets are available now, while tickets for standalone Unsettled Fright Nights will be available soon — stay tuned for details. Whether you’re here for family-friendly fun or hair-raising horror, Heritage Park has a Halloween adventure waiting for you. Know Before You Go

  • Event Access

    When guests arrive at the Park, they can proceed to the front gates of the Park. Guests should have their printed or digital ticket ready to be scanned by our front gate staff. Once your ticket is scanned, you will be granted access into the Historical Village, where Ghouls’ Night Out takes place.

  • Parking

    Paid parking is available at Heritage Park. The Park Plus Zone Number is 8320. Learn more about parking  here.

  • Getting to Heritage Park

    There are plenty of ways to get to the Park, whether that be on foot, via transit, or driving. Click here to find the way that works for you!

  • Event Location

    Ghouls’ Night Out takes place throughout Heritage Park, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Inclement Weather

    Ghouls’ Night Out will go ahead rain or shine, so dress accordingly! Some of the programming at Ghouls’ Night Out will be weather-dependent.

  • What to Wear

    We encourage you to get all decked out in your Halloween costume for Ghouls’ Night Out! Please make sure you dress for the weather and wear a good pair of walking shoes, as there are several different types of terrain throughout Heritage Park. Bring a flashlight, as this event will take place in the evening, and consider a stroller or wagon for your little ones as there’s a lot of ground to cover!

  • Canoo Members

    Canoo Members do not get a discount on Ghouls’ Night Out.

  • Fair Entry Fee Assistance Program

    Discounted admission is not available through the Fair Entry Fee Assistance program.

  • Refund Policy

    All tickets to Ghouls’ Night Out are non-refundable and non-transferable to a future date.

Step into the paranormal as the Alberta Ghostbusters transform the Chautauqua Tent into their ghost-busting headquarters! Explore authentic props, snap photos with the legendary Ecto-1 and meet costumed Ghostbusters in full gear.

Trick-Or-Treating

Enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the Park, where little ghouls and goblins can collect sweet surprises and Halloween goodies at every turn.

Looking for a scarier night out? Upgrade your Ghouls’ Night Out experience with an add-on ticket to Unsettled — an intense Red Zone scare experience in the eerie, quiet Settlement. Step into terrifying scenes, face unsettling encounters, and watch as Haunted Calgary’s scare actors lurk around every corner.

  • Dates & Times during Ghouls’ Night Out:

    • Oct. 23–25: 5 – 9:45 p.m.

    • Oct. 26: 4 – 9:45 p.m.

  • Unsettled Locations:
    • Unsettled Location: The Settlement area of the Park
    • Unsettled Check-In Location: Burns Barn
  • Unsettled Add-On Ticket Price: $15.95 (purchased during checkout)

  • How to Purchase: During Ghouls’ Night Out, Unsettled tickets can be purchased once you’ve added Ghouls’ Night Out tickets to your cart and begin the checkout process. You can get the Unsettled Add-On on-site at the Park’s front gates or at Burns Barn.
  • Ages: Recommended for 12+ (purchasers must accept the ‘Unsettled’ terms and conditions to purchase)

    If you’ve purchased your tickets in advance, have them ready to show our gate staff for quick entry. Buying tickets on-site? No problem — visit the box office at the front gates to purchase your tickets before entering.

    Once inside, you’ll be free to explore a night full of Halloween magic, spooky surprises and family fun throughout the Park.

  • Parking

  • Unsettled Haunted Village Add-On Access

    The Unsettled Haunted Village is a special add-on experience to Ghouls’ Night Out. Guests must have both a Ghouls’ Night Out ticket and an Unsettled Add-On to access the attraction.

    You can purchase the Unsettled Add-On when buying your Ghouls’ Night Out tickets, or on-site by scanning the QR code located at the front gates or at Burns Barn.

    If you’ve purchased your Unsettled Add-On in advance, show our gate staff both your Ghouls’ Night Out ticket and your Unsettled ticket on Showpass when you arrive. They’ll give you a red ticket, which serves as your entry pass to The Unsettled.

    If you purchase your Unsettled Add-On while on-site, simply show your Showpass ticket (after scanning the QR code and completing your purchase) to either the front gate staff or the Unsettled check-in team at  Burns Barn. They’ll provide your red ticket, giving you access to The Unsettled.

    When you’re ready to enter, head to the  Burns Barn and present your red ticket to begin your journey through Calgary’s most chilling haunted experience.

  • What to Wear
