Hands-On History for Homeschoolers

Bring your homeschoolers to Heritage Park for an immersive day of hands-on learning! Homeschooler Days let you choose from a variety of engaging, curriculum-linked programs led by our knowledgeable, costumed docents. From history and science to art and culture, each program brings the past to life in a way that’s fun, interactive and educational — all within the unique setting of Canada’s largest living history museum. Register today!

Want a self-guided experience? Bring your homeschooler to enjoy a fun-filled, self-guided experience with our Living History program and explore the many buildings, homes and exhibits that are brought to life by our interpreters.

  • Homeschooler Days Dates: Sept. 26 and Dec. 5, 2025; Feb. 20, 2026.
  • Homeschooler Days Price: $55.95 per student, GST exempt. Each student is allowed one complimentary guardian.
  • Homeschooler Days Grades: 1-7
  • Program Duration: 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Check-in: 9:15 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Know Before You Go

  • A minimum number of registrations are required for programs to run. If minimum numbers are not reached 5 days prior to camp date, camps will be cancelled, and all registered participants will receive a full refund.
  • Age groups may be combined if there are not enough registrants in a particular category.
  • Registration closes at 9:00 am two days before the event.
  • If you choose to cancel a refund is available up to 14 days prior to a camp start date, a $25 administrative fee will apply.
  • Each program is limited to 15 participants.
  • Only one complimentary guardian is allowed to attend per student.
  • If you choose to attend, you will be required to help with the program.
  • Younger siblings are not allowed to attend with registered students or with guardians helping with the program.
  • Guardian/teachers are not obligated to stay
  • Registrations are for full day only.
  • Please refer to your confirmation letter for additional information about this day.
