February 14, 2026 | The Rabbit Dance & the Foxtrot

Event Description

February 14, 2026 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

This Valentine’s Day, explore the deep-seated relationship between land, spirit, and community through the Rabbit Dance and the Foxtrot. The Rabbit Dance, originating within an everlasting connection to the land by the Lakota people, encompasses timeless celebration and courtship. During the early 1900s, these dances became a site of cultural fusion as Indigenous people integrated the syncopated rhythms of the Foxtrot into their own vibrant heritage. Witness the competition as dancers will compete for prizes, followed by an open invitation for guests to join the circle.
