Know before you go

  • Guest Information

    Guests are asked to remain with the tour group and follow all guidance provided by Heritage Park staff throughout the experience. 

    • Uneven historical pathways 
    • Working workshop environments 
    • Operational equipment and machinery 
    • Narrow passages or stairs 
    • Exposure to steam, noise, smoke, heat or moving vehicles 

    Tour locations and experiences may occasionally change due to operational needs, weather or safety considerations.

  • How early should I arrive?

    Please arrive 15–20 minutes early to allow time for parking and check-in. Tours begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. 

  • What should I bring?

    Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Guests should also dress for the weather and bring sunscreen and a water bottle. 

  • Is the tour indoors or outdoors?

    The experience includes indoor and outdoor locations and operates rain or shine. 

  • How much walking is involved?

    Guests should expect moderate walking and standing throughout the experience, including uneven historical pathways and surfaces. 

  • Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

    Many portions of the tour are wheelchair accessible; however, some historic spaces may include stairs, narrow pathways or uneven surfaces. Guests requiring accessibility accommodations are encouraged to contact Heritage Park in advance. 

  • Is this experience suitable for children?

    The tour is best suited for guests ages 12+ due to the walking involved, smaller spaces and in-depth storytelling throughout the experience. 

  • Will every tour be the same?

    No. Each experience is slightly different depending on the specialists, projects and seasonal work taking place throughout the Park.
