As the whistle sounds and the train pulls away from the station, you’ll travel across the prairie to a classic railway whistle-stop town.
At the historic Wainwright Hotel, colourful characters and lively stories from the days when the train brought excitement to town. While you enjoy butter tarts, warm drinks and prairie treats, you’ll experience the music, laughter and mischief that once greeted travelers along the railway line.
Then it’s back aboard for the ride home across the wide prairie.
This special early-season experience runs on two Sundays before the Historical Village opens for the summer season.

With space for only two guests per departure, this exclusive upgrade places you inside the locomotive cab alongside the engineer for a rare, behind-the-scenes rail experience.
