Her Plains Cree and Metis heritage are the powerful creative foundation for her beautiful, colourful work. One Tree Orchard

Inspired by a single apple tree growing in her backyard, Nikki Newton of Calgary wanted to share something special with her community and created One Tree Orchard. Nikki hand pours high-quality concrete wonders that can be found inside of Forged Alberta, such as fun painting kits for the whole family, gorgeous candles and candle holders, as well as vases.

Textile artist Susan Crawford has lived in Calgary for 25 years and has traveled to Australia, Ireland, Israel, and the USA honing her expertise in eco-dyeing, the technique of transferring the colour and vibrancy from plants onto other objects to create beautiful pieces of art. Susan hand dyes silk scarves, wraps, hair ties, cards, and more with beautiful Albertan flowers donated from local florists, creating stunning combinations of colours that are breathtaking. Come see her gorgeous work at Forged Alberta.
