Calgary, Alta. — Heritage Park is proud to announce the nominees for the 2026 Women Making History in Alberta Awards, an annual celebration recognizing women whose leadership, innovation, service and vision are creating meaningful change across Alberta.
Now in its fifth year, the awards honour women whose achievements are shaping the province’s cultural, economic, educational and social landscape. This year’s nominees represent a wide range of fields and communities, reflecting the many ways women continue to lead, mentor, build, advocate and inspire.
The final recipients are to be announced at the Women Making History in Alberta Awards Luncheon taking place on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Park’s Gasoline Alley Museum.
“We believe history is not only preserved through the stories of the past. It is also shaped by the people leading with courage, creativity and purpose today,” said Lindsey Galloway, Heritage Park President and CEO. “These nominees remind us that women are making history across Alberta every day, in boardrooms, classrooms, communities, businesses, cultural spaces and around kitchen tables where the next generation is watching and learning.”
Tickets and table sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals, organizations and community partners who wish to attend and support the celebration. Proceeds go towards education accessibility and preservation efforts at Heritage Park.
