Heritage Park Honours the 2026 Women Making History in Alberta Award Recipients

Calgary, Alta. — Heritage Park is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Women Making History in Alberta Awards, recognizing seven exceptional Alberta women whose leadership, innovation, advocacy and service are creating lasting impact across the province.

Now in its fifth year, the annual award celebrates women whose achievements are helping shape Alberta’s future across business, community leadership, education, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and social impact.

“The women we are recognizing today are shaping Alberta’s future through leadership, innovation, service and advocacy,” says Laurie Shinkaruk, Chief Development Officer at Heritage Park. “They are building stronger communities, breaking barriers, creating opportunities for others and demonstrating the profound impact one person can have. We are honoured to celebrate their achievements and share their stories.

The recipients were recognized on Friday, June 5 during the Women Making History in Alberta Awards Luncheon at Heritage Park’s Gasoline Alley Museum, where nominees, community leaders, sponsors and guests gathered for an afternoon of recognition, storytelling, and celebration.

Heritage Park also recognizes and congratulates all the 2026 nominees whose work and leadership continue to strengthen communities and inspire meaningful change across Alberta.

Since launching in 2022, the Women Making History in Alberta Awards have celebrated women whose contributions are helping shape the province’s story for generations to come.
