Heritage Park Hosts Citizenship Ceremony for 50 New Canadians on Canada Day.

On July 1, 2024, at 9 a.m., Heritage Park celebrates Canada Day and kicks off
its 60th birthday celebrations with an in-person citizenship ceremony for 50 new Canadian citizens. Held at the park’s Gasoline Alley Museum, this momentous occasion will be presided over by Patrick Jarvis, Order of Canada, with Nidhin Koz of Immigration, Refugees and CitizenshipCanada (IRCC) serving as the Clerk of the Ceremony.

Who: Heritage Park, with the following distinguished guests and officials:
● Presiding Official: Patrick Jarvis, Order of Canada
● Clerk of Ceremony: Nidhin Koz
● Special guests:
o Cst. Candace Harris, RCMP
o Frank Turning Robe, Indigenous Elder
o Shuvaloy Majumdar, MP for Calgary Heritage
o Nagwan Al-Guneid, MLA for Calgary Glenmore
o Mahum Tariq, Talent Manager, Heritage Park
o Vern Overdevest, CBSA Officer
o Trevis Hanson, Pipe Major
● 50 new Canadian citizens
When: July 1st, 2024, at 9 a.m.
Where: Mezzanine level of Gasoline Alley Museum, Heritage Park — 1900 Heritage Drive

Program Highlights:
● 8:15 a.m.: Arrival and registration of candidates and guests
● 9 a.m.: Opening of the ceremony
● 9:22 a.m.: Administration of the Oath of Citizenship
● 9:41 a.m.: Presentation of certificates and congratulatory remarks

Additional Information:
● The ceremony will be conducted in English.
● Refreshments will be available for media and guests.
