Heritage Park Partners with Haunted Calgary for an Even Spookier Halloween Experience

Looking for something spooky to do this Halloween season? Heritage Park’s Ghouls’ Night Out, a beloved Halloween tradition in Calgary, is back for its 14th year with even more thrills and chills. With the creative touch of Haunted Calgary, this year’s event introduces all-new immersive experiences—from interactive plays to eerie encounters throughout the Park.

This year’s Ghouls’ Night Out features expanded offerings tailored to all ages, including:

  • Little Ghouls: Kid- to pre-teen-friendly activities

  • Old Spirits: More intense scares for older teens and adults

  • Scare Zones: Immersive environments to explore at your own fright level

The headline addition this year is the Fearful Four Experience, available as an add-on to base tickets. This includes four exclusive activities designed to push your fear factor even further.

The event runs from October 24–26 (5–9 p.m.) and October 27 (3–7 p.m.), with options ranging from lighthearted family frights to spine-tingling scares.

“We’re excited to be working with Haunted Calgary to bring something new to Ghouls’ Night Out this year,” says Kevin Graham, Chief Operating Officer at Heritage Park. “The collaboration allows us to offer different scare levels, so whether you’re here for a lighthearted evening or something more intense, there’s an option for everyone. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience tailored to all ages.”

In addition to Ghouls’ Night Out, Heritage Park will also host Hell Night, an immersive horror game experience challenging guests to outwit an undead invasion. Scheduled for October 19, November 1, and November 2, 2024, with timeslots starting at 5 p.m., Hell Night features high-intensity gameplay, chilling encounters, and a prize for the last surviving participant. Open to players aged 12 and up (those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).

“At Haunted Calgary, we’ve been crafting immersive Halloween experiences for years, and we can’t wait to create some unforgettable, spine-tingling magic with Heritage Park this season,” says Christine Campbell, Creative Director of Haunted Calgary. “We’re excited to add new elements to Heritage Park’s classic Ghouls’ Night Out. Plus, we’re thrilled to be a part of introducing something wickedly new like Hell Night. These events offer something for everyone, from family-friendly fun to heart-pounding thrills that will keep you on edge all night.”

Make this Halloween one for the books—where history meets horror. These unique events are set to delight long-time fans and new visitors alike.
