About the Program

Coal Country Chronicles tells the stories of people and animals who lived and died by coal in Alberta. The roles of women, children and Blackfoot Peoples are explored through activities, crafts and discussions. These forgotten stories enrich our understanding of the fascinating history of coal.

Additional Information

  • Exploring the Park before or after a school program is not permitted as the Village is closed.
  • The program is designed for a maximum of 30 students along with supervisors. Many of the spaces at Heritage Park are impacted by space restrictions. If your class exceeds 30 students please contact the Education Team to discuss if this accommodation can be made.
  • There is no additional charge for 1:1 supervision support, or those adults coming to supervise.
  • The credit card used for payment will be kept on file until the completion of the program.
  • Please contact us for subsidized rates if needed for your school.
