Nellie’s Christmas

Come step back in time and observe the Christmas traditions of the Roaring Twenties in Nellie's elegant home.

About the Program

Students will learn how Christmas traditions were much different in the ’30s and ’40s when rationing was introduced. See how the emphasis shifted more to family and friends and away from the material aspects of Christmas. Students will also learn to make a traditional 1940s style soup, and finish off their visit making an old-time Christmas ornament.
