Bison - A Travelling Exhibit School Program
About the Program
Students will spend time with an interpreter in Gasoline Alley Museum’s newest temporary exhibit, Bison – A Travelling Exhibit, followed by classroom crafts and activities.
The Bison exhibit explores the significance of the bison in the culture and history of North America. Centering on Plains Indigenous peoples and prairie ecologies, this exhibit traces the factors that led to the dramatic decline of Bison populations and the subsequent conservation efforts. Time in the exhibit will be followed by further discussion, activities, and crafts.
