Birdies For Kids

The funds raised through the Birdies for Kids program will assist Heritage Park in delivering, developing and expanding our high demand children’s education programs and summer camps.

Heritage Park offers some of the most innovative and memorable field trip experiences available in Southern Alberta. Our curriculum-based school programs provide options for Pre-K to Gr. 9. We also provide day programs for home-schooled children. Special programs are designed for the Gr. 10-12 age group upon request.

Some of our funding goes to provide subsidies for schools requiring either a program or transportation subsidy. We are continuing to develop new curriculum and programming across the park to evolve the stories we tell as we discover more and more about our history. This not only provides new experiences for teachers seeking supplementary education for their students, it provides new opportunities for our staff and volunteers to write new scripts, develop new plays and vignettes and lead new programs that require an expansion of our staff and volunteer base to include personnel who have the right background and experiences.

The Birdies for Kids program helps raise funds for Heritage Park by providing matching. The program itself acts as a partnership builder between donors and charities, as all money flows through the Calgary Rogers Charity Classic Foundation to Alberta charities. All administrative costs for the program including website administration, credit card fees, promotional materials, invoicing, etc. will be covered by the Rogers Charity Classic tournament. This means that 100% of all donated funds will go directly to Heritage Park. The most exciting part of Birdies for Kids is the matching pool. For your generous donation, up to 50% will be matched by Altalink!
