About this series

Midway and a Movie is Summer Fun, the Heritage Park Way.

A night at the Midway, with a classic movie under the stars to top it off.

Kick things off with a spin on the Ferris Wheel, a whirl on the Carousel or a laugh-filled ride on the Caterpillar. And don’t forget to grab your favourite midway snacks — mini donuts, frozen lemonade, poutine, hot dogs, locally-crafted beer and more. When you’re ready to wind down, head to Celebration Field and get cozy as the big screen lights up the prairie sky.

Know Before You Go

  • Event Access

    When you arrive to Heritage Park, park in the front lots. From there, make your way to the front gates of the Village. If you bought tickets online, have your Showpass ticket at the ready. Our staff will scan your Showpass ticket, and you can make your way into Heritage Park. If the event does not sell out prior to the event date, tickets will also be available for sale on-site at the front gates. If you purchase on-site, after you purchase your tickets, our gate staff will allow you to enter the Park. Once you enter the Park, make your way up the promenade to Celebration Field where the event will take place. A shuttle bus will also be available for guests with limited mobility, to shuttle them to Celebration Field.

  • Parking

    Paid parking is available in Heritage Park’s front lots. 2025 Members and 60th Anniversary Members who’ve bought the parking add-on get parking included in their Membership. The Park Plus Zone number of the front lots is 8320. Click here for more information.

  • Getting to Heritage Park

    There are plenty of ways to get to the Park, whether that be on foot, via transit, or driving. Click here to find the way that works for you!

     

  • Shuttle Bus

    An accessible shuttle bus will be available to shuttle guests with limited mobility to and from the front gates of the Park to Celebration Field, where the event is taking place.

  • Run of Show

    The Antique Midway, along with various food and drink pop-ups, along with the Midway Treatery, Vulcan Ice Cream Parlour and the Claresholm General Store (selling lots of candy!) will be open as guests come to the event. The movie will begin playing around 9:15 p.m.

  • What to Bring and Wear

    Please bring your own blankets and chairs so you can get cozy in Celebration Field for the movie. Please dress for the weather, as this is an outdoors events. Outside food and drink is not permitted.

  • Inclement Weather Plan

    In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled, and guest’s tickets will be honoured on a subsequent Midway and a Movie night. If inclement weather occurs on the last Midway and a Movie night (Sept. 12, 2025), the event will be cancelled and all guests will receive a full refund.
