Heritage Park’s 2026 entry has tastebuds clamouring for a seat with The Prairie Line Hot Chocolate, inspired by the rail lines that once carried sweets, spices and stories across the Prairies. This cozy cup starts with rich dark chocolate and perfectly steamed milk, then is topped with a soft meringue cookie for a nostalgic, dining-car-style finish. A light sprinkle of cinnamon and a classic maraschino cherry add a playful nod to early 20th-century soda fountains and railway lunch counters.
About YYC Hot Chocolate Fest
YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is a city-wide festival that takes place every February, bringing together cafés, restaurants, and chocolatiers from across Calgary and beyond. Throughout the month, participants create unique hot chocolate offerings, and the public is invited to try them and vote for their favourites.
Each cup sold supports a good cause, with a portion of proceeds going directly to Calgary Meals on Wheels. The festival has grown into one of Calgary’s most popular winter events, celebrating creativity, community, and giving back.
