About the 1915 Locomobile Touring Car
One of the first “horseless carriages” in Alberta was an early model Locomobile, as driven by Billy Cochrane in 1902. By 1915, it was advertised as a car for the “exclusive class accustomed to the best.” It boasted numerous features, including “over one hundred refinements [that] produce even greater comfort and quietness”. Improved brakes were one of these refinements: “Locomobile Brakes stop the car in an emergency, instead of only slowing it down”.
