The Historical Village is closed until spring 2026, but open for Once Upon a Christmas.
Gasoline Alley Museum, The Selkirk, Railway Cafe and Heritage Plaza remain open year-round!
Heritage Park also continues to host special events and welcomes event and private bookings throughout the year!

Events and Things to Do at the Park
The Springtime Express at Heritage Park
Dates: March 15, 22, 29
Times: 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Grab a Ticket to Ride the Springtime Express for a unique opportunity to experience Heritage Park completely by rail. Think Rocky Mountaineer, but Edwardian.
Guests hop aboard the new 1951 diesel-electric locomotive and journey through the Historical Village, with a scheduled stop at the Wainwright Hotel for a spot of tea, tasty treats and a theatrical performance.

Spring Ghost Tours

Step into the shadows and explore the eerie side of history with Heritage Park’s spine-chilling Calgary Ghost Tours. As night falls, the Park’s historic streets come alive with tales of haunted buildings, mysterious apparitions and unexplained phenomena. Guided by our knowledgeable storytellers, you’ll uncover the darker side of the past and hear true stories that have been passed down through generations of Park goers.

Murder at the Park: Death on the Dancefloor

Grab your dancing shoes, those detective instincts and the whole gang, it’s time to crack another case during Murder at the Park. In Death on the Dancefloor, a murder interrupts a lively dance at the Wainwright Hotel, and the lead investigator needs your help to uncover the truth.

Heritage Park offers Southern Alberta educators some of the most innovative, interactive and memorable field trip experiences available connected to the Program of Studies.
Our school programming takes you right into our heritage homes and buildings to introduce you to the captivating and intriguing lives of Western Canada’s pioneers. With a wide variety of role-playing, discovery opportunities and curriculum-based school programs, there’s a program that will pique the interest of students attending kindergarten through grade 9 and beyond.
