Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all ticket purchases made online through the Heritage Park Historical Village (HPHV) website. Anyone purchasing tickets online through the HPHV website is considered to have read and freely accepted these terms.

1. All sales are final. There are NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES on any admissions, rides and ticketed events purchased on the HPHV website. HPHV will not issue a refund for a lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed ticket, or for a ticket claimed to be “undelivered”.
2. You must review all the information you are submitting BEFORE you place your order (choice of event, date, type of admission ticket).
3. You must complete all the fields in the purchase form. Credit cards and Interac (debit) online are the only acceptable method of payment. Your name and address must be submitted exactly as they appear on your credit card statement.
4. All tickets for admissions, ride, and ticketed events (except bulk admission tickets and annual passes) must be printed from this website at the time of sale. NO TICKETS (except bulk admission tickets and annual passes) WILL BE MAILED TO YOU, NOR WILL THEY BE HELD FOR PICK UP AT WILL CALL.
5. Each ticket purchased on the HPHV website has a unique barcode identifier. Each barcode will only allow SINGLE USE. If someone attempts to reuse a unique barcode, they will be denied entry to HPHV.  
6. HPHV will not be held responsible in the event that a purchase or transaction cannot be completed due to a problem or an error experienced by either the computer system, or the Internet.
7. Ticketholders voluntarily assume all risks and dangers incidental to any event for which this ticket is issued and waive all claims against HPHV whether or not such claims arise from the negligence of HPHV.
8. Admission is subject to compliance with all laws and facility rules. Failure to comply with laws or facility rules may result in refusal of admission or expulsion.
9. In the event that a ticketed event is cancelled, the cost of the ticket will be refunded upon request, and with proof of purchase presented to HPHV.
10. Heritage Park’s terrain can be uneven, slippery, and active with farm operations and moving equipment. Please take care and stay aware of your surroundings. By visiting, you accept responsibility for your safety.

HERITAGE PARK HISTORICAL VILLAGE ESCAPE ROOM EXPERIENCE – Where Dark Things Dwell ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND PHOTO CONSENT AGREEMENT

By purchasing a ticket for, attending, or participating in a Heritage Park Historical Village escape room experience (the “Experience”), I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand that participation in the Experience may involve physical activity, movement through historic buildings and attractions, dim lighting, confined spaces, uneven surfaces, stairs, props, special effects, and interaction with other participants. I acknowledge that these conditions may present risks of physical injury, emotional distress, anxiety, discomfort, illness, property damage, or other unforeseen hazards.

I voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with my participation in the Experience, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, including risks arising from the actions or conduct of other participants.

2. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Experience, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Heritage Park Historical Village, Heritage Park Society, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, agents, sponsors, affiliates, and representatives including Secret City Studio Inc. (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or liabilities arising from or related to my participation in the Experience, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, emotional distress, property damage, or death, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, demands, damages, or expenses arising from my participation in the Experience, including claims brought by my heirs, executors, administrators, family members, or assigns.

3. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

I agree to follow all instructions provided by Heritage Park staff, volunteers, contractors, and event personnel. I agree not to engage in any unlawful, unsafe, reckless, disruptive, or inappropriate conduct, nor will I encourage or direct others to do so.

I understand that Heritage Park reserves the right to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or contrary to event rules, without refund or compensation.

4. PERSONAL PROPERTY

I acknowledge that Heritage Park Historical Village is not responsible for any personal property that is lost, stolen, or damaged before, during, or after the Experience. Participants are responsible for securing and safeguarding their own belongings at all times.

5. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA RELEASE

I grant Heritage Park Historical Village, Heritage Park Society, and their authorized representatives the unrestricted right to photograph, film, record, and otherwise capture my image, likeness, voice, and appearance during the Experience.

I authorize the use of such photographs, recordings, and media in any format or medium, whether now known or developed in the future, for promotional, advertising, educational, marketing, archival, or other lawful purposes without compensation, notice, or further consent.

I waive any right to inspect, approve, or receive compensation for the use of such photographs, recordings, or publications.

6. HERITAGE PARK RULES

I agree to comply with all Heritage Park policies, procedures, safety requirements, and site regulations while participating in the Experience and while on Heritage Park property. Failure to comply with such rules may result in removal from the Experience without refund.

7. AGE RESTRICTION

I acknowledge that the Experience is designed for mature participants and may contain themes, challenges, environments, lighting conditions, sounds, and content that are not suitable for young children.

Children under twelve (12) years of age are not permitted to participate in the Experience. By registering for or attending the Experience, I confirm that all members of my party meet the minimum age requirement. Heritage Park reserves the right to refuse admission or remove participants who do not meet this requirement without refund.

8. PARTICIPANT SUITABILITY, ACCESSIBILITY, AND MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Participants are responsible for determining whether the Experience is appropriate for their individual physical, medical, and emotional circumstances. The Experience may involve walking, standing for extended periods, navigating historic buildings, climbing stairs, exposure to dim lighting, confined spaces, sudden sounds, and mentally challenging activities.

Individuals who have mobility limitations, claustrophobia, anxiety disorders, heart conditions, seizure disorders, respiratory conditions, light or sound sensitivities, or any other medical, physical, or psychological condition that may be affected by participation should contact

Heritage Park prior to purchasing tickets or attending the Experience to discuss the nature of the activity and any available accommodations.

Participants acknowledge that, due to the historic nature of many Heritage Park buildings and spaces, some areas may not be fully accessible. While Heritage Park will make reasonable efforts to provide information regarding accessibility and available accommodations, accommodations may be limited and may not be available in all circumstances.

By participating in the Experience, I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating safely, or that I have consulted with an appropriate medical professional and determined that participation is suitable for me. I accept full responsibility for any risks associated with participation arising from any medical, physical, psychological, or emotional condition.

9. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND AGREEMENT

I acknowledge that I have carefully read and fully understand this Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Photo Consent Agreement. I understand that by purchasing a ticket, registering for, attending, or participating in the Experience, I am voluntarily giving up certain legal rights, including the right to bring legal action against the Released Parties for claims covered by this Agreement.

I acknowledge that I am participating voluntarily and intend for this Agreement to be binding upon myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, family members, and assigns.
