About the 1941 Chevrolet Tow Truck, Model TKH

This 1 ton tow truck is a fine example of Chevrolet’s Art Deco line. Introduced in 1941, its distinctive front end styling – two tiered grille, beaklike hood and streamlined headlights mounted on huge fenders – made them a hit with truck buyers. When Chevrolet resumed civilian production after the Second World War the first vehicles off the line were essentially the same as pre-War issue, but as “black out” models they had painted trim in place of resplendent chrome.
