The Historical Village is closed except for special events like Ghouls' Night Out and Once Upon a Christmas until the 2026 May Long Weekend.
Tent
The Celebration Tent was built to replace a series of rented tents used for large functions in Heritage Park before 1999. During the day, the tent is used to accommodate special events such as the Fall Fair and concerts in case of rain.
In the evening, it can be rented out for large private functions, such as company picnics and convention barbecues. The 10,800-square-foot tent has an oblong shape reminiscent of the tents used during the early 20th century for all sorts of outdoor events. However, its steel girder frame, vinyl-coated fabric, asphalt floor, electric lights and radiant heating system are entirely modern. The installation of exterior gas street lamps and landscaping serve to enhance the appearance of the tent area.
