About the Historical Village

The Historical Village depicts life as it was from the 1860s through the 1930s. Costumed interpreters help tell the story of the Canadian West, while guests can enjoy a variety of activities including steam train rides and a paddlewheeler boat.

The Historical Village is made up of three distinct areas:

  • 1860s Fur Trading Fort and First Nations Encampment
  • 1880s Pre-railway Settlement
  • c.1910 Prairie Railway Town

Key attractions include an authentic antique steam train, the S.S. Moyie paddlewheeler, the First Nations encampment depicting the earliest days of the region’s history, and an antique midway.
