The Historical Village is now closed until May 17, 2025 except for special and ticketed events. The Historical Village will be open for Ghouls' Night Out from Oct. 24 - 27, 2024. The Historical Village will also be open for Once Upon A Christmas on Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. from Dec. 7 - 22, 2024. Gasoline Alley Museum and the shops and restaurants in Heritage Plaza are open year-round.

About the Miller's Cabin
Little is known about this building, which is said to have been built as early as 1886 in the hamlet of Langdon, 16 kilometres east of Calgary, and is rumoured to have served as the community’s jail, fire station and town hall.
Before the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway, flour was an expensive luxury used only on special occasions, because there were few places for settlers to obtain flour or have their grain crops ground. If a mill was established in town, grain farmers would line up for hours to have the miller grind their wheat into fine white flour. Among the many men who served as town councilors in this building was Arthur Botsford, son of Oscar Botsford, owner of Botsford Harness Shop. Heritage Park opened the original Miller’s Cabin exhibit in 1976, and the rebuilt version in 1995.
