About the St. Martin's Church Graveyard

The graves of Sam Livingston, one of Calgary’s first settlers, and four men associated with the North West Mounted Police are depicted in this cemetery.

Although all of the grave markers are originals, there are no human remains interred at Heritage Park. The wooden markers came from a NWMP cemetery in Fort Macleod, after its grave markers were replaced with marble ones in 1962. The cemetery exhibit opened in 1964.
