Heritage Park Welcomes N.W.T. Evacuees

Calgary, August 18 – Evacuees from the Northwest Territories who are temporary relocated to Calgary are invited to visit Heritage Park free of charge.

Calgary is preparing to welcome up to 5,000 residents from Yellowknife and other N.W.T. communities. Individuals and families can enjoy free admission to Heritage Park’s Historical Village and Gasoline Alley Museum, to give displaced folks a chance to relax from the unprecedent fire situation. All that is required is for guests to bring along some form of ID that indicates they are from the N.W.T. The no-cost of admission will continue until further notice.

“Heritage Park stands with the communities affected by the wildfires” Kevin Graham, Chief Operations Officer at Heritage Park. “We hope that by offering free admission, we can provide positive memories for families facing adversity.”

The free admission includes access to all the historical exhibits, interactive displays and engaging activities that Heritage Park is renowned for. Visitors can immerse themselves in the past, experiencing the sights, sounds and stories of Canadian History.
