2 cups Flour
2 sticks plus 1 tbsp (240g) Butter
2/3 cup Confectioner Sugar
6 oz Almonds ground
2 tbsp Cinnamon ground
2 tbsp Milk
About 1 cup Jam for spreading
Confectioner’s sugar for dusting
Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Knead the flour, room temperature butter, confectioner’s sugar, ground almonds, cinnamon and milk. Let rest for half an hour. Roll out the dough into two halves. Cut circles out of one half, and rings of the same size out of the other half. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 10 minutes. Let cool. Spread the jam on the circles and place the ring on top. Dust with confectioner’s sugar.
