Calgary, AB – It’s too exciting and we just can’t wait for the Best. Summer. Ever!
For the first time in 60 years, Heritage Park will open on the Friday before the Victoria Day Long Weekend, allowing guests to get an extra day of fun and excitement at the Park. This year’s park theme is “Community,” a fitting theme considering the role Heritage Park has played in the Calgary community for the past six decades.
The opening ceremony for the Historical Village will be 11:30 in the Heritage Park Plaza.
Guests can expect to expect to see a greatly expanded programming line-up around the Park this season. Highlights include:
“We are ready for the Best. Summer. Ever at Heritage Park,” says Lindsey Galloway, president and CEO. “Holding such a special place in our community for 60 years, we’re looking to welcome our guests with the kinds of experiences that you can only have here at Heritage Park. And we’re so excited, we just couldn’t wait!”
This year, the second annual “Peek at the Park” will happen on May 16. This is an exclusive chance for members to get a look at some of the exciting programming and try some of our new experiences before the general public. Members will be invited to the Park from 5-7 that evening.
Starting May 18, Heritage Park will be open from 10-5 daily. Daily admission to the Park includes Gasoline Alley Museum, the Historical Village and all rides, exhibits, entertainment and activities. Membership pricing has been lowered to celebrate our birthday – adult annual membership starts at just $60! Daily admission is $34.99 for adults, $22.95 for youth (3-15) and $26.95 for seniors (65+). Children under 3 are free. For more information, visit heritagepark.ca or call 403.268.8500.
