Discover the History of Propaganda in Southern Alberta

About the Exhibit

Only Available Until Aug. 27!

Join us for the newest temporary exhibit in Gasoline Alley Museum, Prairie Persuasion: Communication and Propaganda in Southern Alberta! Propaganda was everywhere in southern Alberta, beginning in the 1860s. It brought settlers and tourists to the province, helped form community groups, enlisted troops for war efforts and opened doors for fake remedies and advertisements.

There is also a darker side to propaganda, one which was aimed at different groups of people using discrimination and violence. Propaganda changed the shape of society as we know it today. Discover the power of propaganda for yourself, while you can, by visiting this new, temporary exhibit in Gasoline Alley Museum. Buy tickets today!
