Take in vibrant performances from GlobalFest, watch a parade wind through the Village and so much more. Celebrate Canada Day with a festive parade through the Historical Village! Featuring music, performers and special guests, it’s a fun start to the day’s celebrations.

Enjoy performances from a wide array of talent, celebrating the diverse culture of the place we call home!

Steele Scouts Cavalry Display

Don’t miss the Steel Scouts Cavalry Display on the Celebration Field—an exciting equestrian spectacle in commemoration of the history of Sam Steele, featuring precision drills and powerful pageantry.

Citizenship Ceremony

Heritage Park is honoured to host a private Citizenship Ceremony, welcoming new Canadians as they officially join our nation. While this ceremony is not open to the public, we’re proud to be part of this meaningful milestone in their journey.

Kid’s Crafts

Let little imaginations shine with fun and engaging kid’s crafts. It’s the perfect way for young guests to get creative, explore and make a memory to take home.

Indigenous Drumming and Dancing with Alex Scalplock

Experience the powerful rhythms and vibrant movements of Indigenous drumming and dancing with Alex Scalplock—a celebration of culture, tradition and community.

Chinook Country Line Dancers

Enjoy lively performances from the Chinook Country Line Dancers as they bring rhythm, energy and western spirit to the Park!

Fraser Highlanders

Catch the Fraser Highlanders performing traditional 18th-century music on the Prince House lawn or throughout the Village. With bagpipes, drums and full historic dress, they add a lively dose of history to your day at the Park.

Days of Yore Sneak-a-Peek Camp

Step into the past at the Days of Yore Sneak-a-Peek Camp, where re-enactors bring history to life—from Vikings to Victorians, and the frontlines of WWI and WWII.

  • Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Location: Eugene Coste Park

Rhythm of the Rockies

Rhythm of the Rockies, and award-winning acapella choir, will rove the Village performing.

  • Location: Throughout the Park

Dixie Kings and Magnolia Buckskin

Catch Dixie Kings, a band performing early 20th century period music, and Magnolia Buckskin, an all-female acoustic trio playing popular standards and original blue grass/folk tunes, playing throughout the Village!

  • Time: 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Location: Roving around the Village, playing at the Wainwright Hotel, Shepard Station, Midnapore Station and aboard the S.S. Moyie.

Nifty Fifty’s Ford Club

See vintage Ford vehicles up close with the Nifty Fifty’s Ford Club—classic cars with plenty of chrome, style and history under the hood.

  • Time: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Location: Celebration Field

CPS Pipe Band

Catch the CPS Pipe Band at Heritage Park as they join the Canada Day parade and perform at the Engineered Air Bandstand in Heritage Plaza. With their bold bagpipes and drums, it’s a fun way to experience this proud tradition up close.

  • Performance Times and Locations:
    • In Parade: 11 – 11:30 a.m.
    • At Engineered Air Bandstand: 1:15 and 1:45 p.m.

Youth Singers of Calgary

Enjoy a lively performance from the Youth Singers of Calgary in the Plaza! With fun songs and big energy, they’re bringing music and smiles to the Park this Canada Day.

Bud Edgar

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind trick roping performance from Bud Edgar. His western variety show is one the whole family is sure to enjoy!

    Once guests have arrived to the Park, they can go to the front gates of the Historical Village to get admission and enter the Historical Village.

  • Parking

    Paid parking is available in Heritage Park’s front lots. 2025 Members and 60th Anniversary Members who’ve bought the parking add-on get parking included in their Membership. The Park Plus Zone number of the front lots is 8320. Click here for more information.
