Since July 1, 1964, we’ve been showcasing Western Canadian heritage, and now we invite you to honour six decades of memories and milestones with us. It’ll be one of the best Canada Day events in town, with a parade, live concerts, performances, family activities and complimentary treats like birthday cake. Get here early – the first 1,000 guests in the gate get a mini butter tart! Join us for amazing Canada Day events in Calgary and don’t miss out on the chance to be part of history in the making as we celebrate 60 fabulous years of Heritage Park and the enduring spirit of Western Canadian heritage!

Find a good spot to sit down and watch as we come parading around Village Square!

Join us as we celebrate 60 years of Heritage Park in the community. Then, we’ll drive commemorative rail spike into the railway track!

Sing happy birthday to Heritage Park and get a free piece of birthday cake! 600 pieces will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Named Country Music Alberta’s (CMAB) two-time Female Artist of the Year, Mariya Stokes is set to release her debut album in 2025, with singles rolling out throughout 2024. She’s a local country-soul love child known for her distinct retro style, quirky sense of humour, and fearless, genre-bending approach to country music.
Performance Times: 1 – 1:45 pm and 2:15 – 3 pm
Location: Didsbury Bandstand. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to Celebration Tent.
A singing sensation with a heart of gold and a voice that’ll knock your socks off! This pint-sized powerhouse won the 2024 Alberta Country Music Youth Horizon Award (18 and under).

Enjoy a performance of traditional singing, drumming and dance. This is a show you’ll long remember.

You’ll be tapping your toes, as you watch this multiple-award-winning, dynamic YYC dance group.
Time: 11:45 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Green space across from the Wainwright Hotel. In the event of rain, this performance will be moved to Chautauqua Tent.
This group of volunteers strive to be the premier show and competition Pipe Band in Canada and are good-will ambassadors for the Calgary Police Service and the City of Calgary.

Hang out on the grass and enjoy this eclectic group of musicians, playing a blend of Celtic, old-time, traditional western and folk music.

Known for her distinct retro style and quirky sense of humor, Country Music Alberta’s two-time Female Artist of the Year, Mariya Stokes, is set to release her debut album in 2025, with singles rolling out throughout 2024. Produced by Juno Award-winners Spencer Cheyne and Justin Kudding, the album reflects her roots: honest country lyrics seamlessly blended with pop melodies. Stokes garnered national recognition this year as a semifinalist in SiriusXM’s Top of the Country, in partnership with the Canadian Country Music Association.
