Attending Day Out With Thomas on Friday, May 10 is perfect for guests with autism spectrum disorders, learning disorders, high anxiety and dementia. There will be no train whistles, event soundtrack, or announcements. Safe spaces will be available for guests that need a sensory break. And, the Nightingale Accessible Railcar will make its Day Out With Thomas debut! The Nightingale has eight wheelchair spaces, and seating for eight accessible guests or companions. The wheelchair spaces have benches that can fold down from the wall for additional accessible or companion seating if required. There is an accessible staircase, wheelchair lift and tie-downs for the wheelchairs.

Before your Day Out With Thomas, join everyone’s favourite railway controller, Sir Topham Hatt, for a meet and greet breakfast buffet! Say hello and take a special photo with Sir Topham Hatt. Then, load up your plate with a variety of delicious options, from Alberta Bakery pastries to traditional eggs benedict and more. When you’re done, venture into the Park to ‘pop’ on board a train ride adventure with Thomas and experience loads of bubble-themed games and activities! Tickets will go fast, so get yours today!

No, Canoo tickets are not accepted for Day Out With Thomas.
No, Fee Assistance does not apply to Day Out With Thomas admission.
Strollers will not be allowed on the train. There is an unsupervised stroller storage area at Midnapore Station. The train will return to Midnapore Station at the end of each ride. Strollers can then be picked up by guests.
Train rides will run for approximately 20 minutes, equivalent to three loops around the Park.
No, not all areas of the Historical Village are open during Day Out With Thomas. You can see which areas are open by looking at the event map when it becomes available.

No, you don’t. Your train ride tickets include admission to the Historical Village!
All guests aged 1+ must purchase a Day Out With Thomas ticket to gain entry to the event and ride the event, including adults. Adults must accompany their children on the train ride.
Yes, we recommend that you arrive at the Historical Village at least one hour before your train ride time. That way, you can enjoy all of the event’s fun activities before your train ride time and ensure you won’t miss the train! We also recommend that you arrive at Midnapore Station at least 30 minutes before your train ride.
Day Out With Thomas takes place throughout the Historical Village!
If you are an Annual Membership holder, you must purchase tickets to Day Out With Thomas. Day Out With Thomas admission is not included with an Annual Membership.
Parking is not included in your admission, but it is available at the Park. Parking kiosks are located in the middle of the parking lot and in Heritage Plaza. If you’re an Escape Annual Membership holder, or a 60th Anniversary Annual Membership holder with parking added on to their membership, parking is free!

Please dress for the weather, and make sure you’re wearing comfortable walking shoes, as there is a variety of terrain within the Historical Village and a lot of ground to cover!
There are bathrooms located at Midnapore Station, but not on the train itself.
Pets are not permitted in the Historical Village. However, service animals are allowed within the Historical Village.
Skateboards, bikes and rollerblades are not permitted within the Historical Village.
